About Fred

Fred is an author, entrepreneur and veteran marketing and media executive. Currently he is the CEO of Ready Golf Productions, a mission driven sports media company that produces culture-driven television programming, social media and events geared towards the sport’s 40 million younger, more diverse enthusiasts. Ready Golf works with some of the biggest names in the industry and has strong relationships with brands, agencies and governing bodies.

Fred has more than twenty-five years experience in media, sports, and marketing. Previously he was chief marketing officer for Allen Media’s The Weather Group, which owns The Weather Channel television platforms and the award-winning streaming platform Local Now.  Fred also was the CMO of the media groups at Time Warner Cable and Charter/Spectrum. He held senior level marketing and sponsorship positions at ESPN and Omnicom’s TraceyLocke.

Fred writes about working in marketing, media and sports in his blog For What It’s Worth. In 2022 he published his first novel, All The Lies We Believe.  His second book, Burning Ambitions, will be released in March, 2024. He’s a frequent speaker at industry events.
